The Waterloo Historical Society’s annual volume has been published since 1913. A copy is included with membership in the Society.

All volumes since 1913 are available in the Grace Schmidt Room of Local History at the Kitchener Public Library.

Producing the Annual
Volume
Each issue reflects articles submitted during the previous calendar year. Currently, the publication committee begins work on the annual volume in late summer (e.g. early September 2025). It continues over the fall and winter. The volume would then be released in May 2026 at a WHS meeting and would bear the date 2025. Articles should be submitted as early as possible for inclusion in the current year’s volume. The cut-off date for consideration is September 30, current year. Submitted articles must deal with some aspect of the history of Waterloo County/Region either in totality or in part.
